Why I Love Interior Design

Creativity sparks joy in me-it always has. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the idea of creating beauty through design. Growing up, I constantly reimagined my bedroom, moving furniture around, hanging art in new ways, and switching up my décor every few months. My mother found it both amusing and endearing, and she always encouraged me to keep experimenting. Little did I know, those early “room makeovers” were the first steps toward a lifelong passion.

As an adult, I was thrilled to finally have my own space where I could decorate to my heart’s content. Each room became a canvas where I could blend practicality with beauty, arranging furniture, accessories, and art in ways that felt both functional and inspiring. Soon, it wasn’t just my home I was working on-friends and family began asking for my advice, and helping them transform their spaces gave me the greatest sense of joy.

What excites me most about interior design is the way it can elevate everyday living. You cannot underestimate the importance of a home where the rooms flow seamlessly, reflecting your personality and your best self. Social media often reminds us to “live our best lives,” but so many of us forget to apply that wisdom to our own living spaces. The truth is, our homes shape our moods, our productivity, and even our sense of well-being.

For me, interior décor is more than just furniture and paint colors-it’s about creating an environment that makes you feel grounded, inspired, and joyful every single day. There’s nothing better than walking through your front door and instantly smiling because your home feels like you. That feeling of comfort and belonging, of being surrounded by beauty, is one of life’s greatest gifts.

And that’s why I love interior design: it turns a house into a home, and a home into a reflection of your best, most authentic self.
